A night in nightmares
In the depths of night, when all is still,
A presence stirs, a force of ill will.
It creeps and crawls, with icy breath,
A terror born of nightmares and death.
The shadows twist, the darkness swells,
As ancient horrors ring their bells.
A chorus of screams, a symphony of pain,
As terror reigns supreme, and all is in vain.
Blood flows like rivers, and flesh is rent,
As the beast feasts, and devours its content.
A frenzy of carnage, a dance of despair,
As the monster revels in its malevolent fare.
No sanctuary, no respite from the fray,
For death lingers, and will not go away.
The horror consumes, it takes all in its wake,
Leaving nothing but fear, and a world that's forsake.
So beware the night, and what it brings,
For the terror within, is a horrific thing.
And if you should glimpse, what lurks in the dark,
Pray for mercy, and hope it's not your mark.
