The green door; A door to our worst nightmares
"Good luck," she said. "You’ll need it."
Jamie didn’t quite understand what she had meant by "good luck", but it was too late to turn back now. He took one shaky breath and opened the eerie green door as if he were prepared for what would happen next.
He took a step in and closed the door behind him. "Nothing?" he thought. It was pitch black. His thoughts were louder than his footsteps. The silence was killing him. He looked around for a source of light. None. It was just Jamie and the darkness, walking alone in an endless, hollow abyss.
"Where am I?"
"How long have I been here?"
"Why were the people so eager to meet the darkness?"
As he continued walking, he spotted something up ahead. Another door with a flickering light on top, taking his time, Jamie walked near the ghostly door. The silence was playing a dirty game with him. He forcefully opened the door, his heart racing with anxiety. His date with the darkness is officially over. He ran towards the exit before the toxic darkness could swallow him alive. Except that it wasn’t an exit.
It seems as if he was in the heart of the forest. "First black, now green?" he exclaimed with a heavy sigh. He followed a path that seemed too ancient for this world. The path that led to unhappy happiness. He surrendered as he felt the surrounding trees glaring. But he kept walking. Curiosity kept pushing him harder. He looked around. The tree whispered. Their presence seemed comforting. The tree’s personality withered away, with its secrets embedded in the ground.
The trees trapped him. His only surroundings were trees. He carried on with his peculiarity, leading the way. It was a never-ending forest, and Jamie was trying his best to endure his train wreck. His mind was trapped in the cold, misty, eerie fog of the forest, unable to find its way. Jamie then realized something on the bark of the sorrowful tree, which seemed to have withered away from heavy regrets. It was an antiquated envelope. He took it, his eyes sparkling with fascination, desperation, and agitation. As he read the envelope, however, his excitement suddenly turned against him.
'Not even halfway through the game, and it appears you’ve been drained. Your happiness awaits you in the presence of your harrowing nightmares. Once you’ve found your happiness, though, consequences will come your way.'
Jamie sprinted towards the door, but it wasn’t there. He nervously looked down at the envelope. The fear in his eyes started to scream. So loud yet so silent.
‘There’s no turning back now. I am watching you.’
