Spirits Let Loose
Sakura was just coming out of the class to see her friends Akio and Haruto talking to Yuzuki who was holding a lantern shaped invite. “Hey guys, what’s up?” asked sakura. “Nothing much, yuzuki was telling us to come to that weird obon festival thing at her house. I wasn’t going until she said that it’s very fun. Also because she's giving snacks,”replied akio. Sakura looked at Yuzuki who was handing another invite to Kazui. She debated whether or not to come in the end she decided she may as well go. It could be fun anyways right? After school Sakura goes into her room and texts Kazui. “What should we wear to the party?””Wear a yukata or something…” replied Kazui. So Sakura quickly took out a cherry blossom themed yukata that her mother bought her a week ago. Once she changed she grabbed her purse then went out of the house. The weather itself was very gloomy and as Sakura walked she realized that the sky was more red than orange. It looked quite scary but Sakura didn’t really have the time to ponder as Kazui came running to her. “Where were you? Anyways let's go!” yelled Kazui. Sakura saw her friends there and was surprised to see there were only a few people. Just her, her friends and Yuzuki. “Hi.” said Yuzuki very nonchalantly. “Uhh, where is your family Yuzuki?” Sakura blurted out. Yuzuki seemed to have not heard this and continued. “Now let us pray to the gods to cleanse ourselves of the sins and spirits.” saying this Yuzuki started to chant a mantra. A hard breeze swept through the room and all the candles went out. The lanterns that covered the floor started to rise up like someone was holding it and pushing it up. Sakura looked around her and started to feel scared. Yuzuki just smiled at the sight and then said “Well I’ve done my part haven’t I? Let’s see how you’ll handle this huh?”. Saying this she vanished into the darkness, which enveloped them as screams came from behind sakura.
