Some say
Some say there's phantoms who grasp at you while walking the moors, reaching for your life, or the ones they lost along the way. Some say that in the darkest of night, just before the sun peaks out over the horizon, ghouls creep out of the dark depths of the shadows to steal you away from the realm of the living men.
These creatures aren't the ones you should be wary of, my friend.
The ones that you cannot see or put a face on, the ones who caress your skin as you lie in bed, beckoning sleep to envelop your senses, but keep it at bay. They are the heaviness on your eyelids, the ones who dull your senses. They are the ones who you should be truly afraid of, for they are the kind that steal seconds of your life, so that they may live once again, so find sleep quickly, and don't dawdle as you become tired, or they will find seconds to steal.
