Silence can be loud

Occasionally silence can be loud 

it can be strong and proud 

when the being chooses not to utter a sound

to protest against the ill-chosen words 

Occasionally silence can be depressed

when the speaker has caused too much stress

when to many hurtful words have been expressed

when there is nothing left to be said

Occasionally silence can be snug

two people side by side wrapped in a hug

have used each other as a drug 

happy and content in each other's presence
