Finding Light in the Reflection of Trauma
Life was simple and beautiful,
But then my haunting past came back to me.
Thoughts of never being good enough
Keep running through my mind.
When I look in the mirror, I see
A reflection of past trauma,
A broken smile and heartache
That no one else knows about.
We all have our flaws,
But the fears and doubts in your mind
Are just illusions,
Causing chaos and worry.
Anxiety and depression
Are creations of your imagination,
Linked to past traumas,
Such as parental fights and losing loved ones.
These reflections of the past
Keep haunting me,
But I have learned to forgive myself
Through prayer and reading the Bible.
Taking each step forward,
I realize that the key to overcoming this battle
Is by asking God for His love and mercy.
Without Him, these doubts will never fade.
I find myself trapped in a maze,
A maze constructed by my own traumas.
But through God's amazing grace,
I am learning to erase these doubts.
God will listen to your prayers,
And guide you towards the light.
This is not the end, my friend,
For God has a purpose for your life.
The darkness that haunts you
Will not prevail,
As love will lead you back.
