Nuclear Nitelite
Raised as a nomad atop of the scorched earth
I tended the archive along with my mother
Under the orbit of the winter moon
At times I would stray from the path of my coven
And into the homes of those living in ruins
Many were gracious, delighted to talk to
A person from outside the safety they clung to
I soon met a child with wing's of a bat who
Would become the greatest friend I ever new
Nuclear Nitelite, show me the way
Don't let my blind sight lead me astray
Take your Nuclear Nitelite and radiant slumber
I will disguise mine from one to the other
Even when it feels bitter and tearing apart
I will defend you from right to the start
Nuclear Nitelite, a world scorched by Blight
Nuclear Nitelite, mutations rise to overdrive
"The stars look much bigger reflected in your eyes
And though my world's smaller, I've come to realize
That if we were born in the light of a kind star
It couldn't allow for everything we are."
The thing that I am, the thing on my shoulders
Spreading its stump wings into the cold air
I said "I guess that our God is a cruel one"
They spoke in curses, "Annihilation
Is hardly a God he's just stupid and evil
And he's no creator if we are his people."
I said "I wonder if there is a reason
For which we are altered with every mutaiton
And could we get closer to whatever vision
Our bodies warp towards, a completed demon?"
Then they were silent, I carried them home
My mind would not rest once I was alone
Nuclear Nitelite, show me the way
Don't let my blind sight lead me astray
Take your Nuclear Nitelite and radiant slumber
I will disguise mine from one to the other
Even when it feels bitter and tearing apart
I will defend you from right to the start
Take your Nuclear Nitelite and radiant slumber
After this world's light is blackened and smothered
Even when it feels bitter and tearing apart
I will defend you from right to the start
The wings which once had barely cleared
The span between my shoulders
Now blocked out the sky above
My friend was unfamiliar
And this was what we'd always wanted
The final transformation
They left without a single word
And never touched the ground again.
I lived a half-life
Under the orbit of the winter moon
I made a friend
Outside the orbit of the winter moon
I watched my friend fly
To the horozion of the blazen field
I know they're out their
Soaring the skies beneath the blazen moon
Take your Nuclear Nitelite and radiant slumber
I will disguise mine from one to the other
Even when it feels bitter and tearing apart
I will defend you from right to the start
