Keep it in #1
What happens when you no longer have human rights in your own home. Nothing. Because no one will do anything.
Four females often verbally abused by this man who thinks he owns them, but of course he had to be a religious man too. Coming into their lives by storm, nothing happens at first and so, the women relax and begin to get accustomed to having a male pillar in their family, but as fate would put it, the man behind to gain their trust and gets comfortable. Too comfortable.
He begins to restrict access to the things the female's like for entertainment. Their wifi, the television, how many books they should read before doing the house work.
And if one of the daughters does something that he doesn't like, then he begins to criticize the way their mother raised them, how much influence their grandparents had on them, bickering about them behind their backs. But of course, being the religious man he is, the man thinks that he is superior in every way.
He brings the women down by stating how they don't excercise, just because they are a bit overweight. How dare he? When he himself is more than overweight?!
And the mother, poor woman. After a failed relationship in her first marriage, also with an abusive man, she spent almost a decade before letting herself have some hope to meet the right guy. But alas, the world hasn't been kind to her in the slightest, the second man is also a bad one putting on a good face, hiding behind a mask.
The eldest daughter vents out her feelings being socially dependent, always wanting to be with friends and going out with friends. The second daughter likes to binge read, and is mostly always on her phone. The third daughter likes mostly drawing or reading, and she doesn't like when the man treats them as if they had no rights; so rationally she speaks her mind and doesn't care if it angers him.
The mother is a beautiful soul, a beautiful lady. A pure human being.
Tragically, she had suffered through many injuries in her work, so she was dependent on other people in order to achieve the daily tasks. Because, of the medication she had to intake to relieve the pain, she had gained weight and could barely walk a fair distance. This caused severe mood drops and led to depression. And she couldn't get surgery to get better because of her emotional state, which was like so because of her current state and the frustration she suffered with herself.
Eventually, the woman quit her job because she was unable to do it anymore. This gave the man all the security he needed to have the female's under his thumb. All of them at his command.
If they took a large serving in a meal, he would criticize them. If they spoke aloud of what current series they had been watching, he'd lash out. Basically, they were disposable servants.
He didn't respect when the women were discussing something and added in every argument with, ".... if you don't like it, then there's the door. Leave."
He criticizes the woman's family, and boasted about how perfect his own was.
How perfect can a family be if none volunteer to take care of their mother? That's the most broken family ever.
That's not what I signed up for.
