Aching bones like over-loaded levees
creaking and cracking
in triumphant tribulation,

Sinews whisper sweet encouragement
to tighten and
rise.
While desperate digits
fumble in frailty,

Palatable prayers
aware in their awakening
ignore the ignominy,
