Freedom isn’t Free
United states of America, birthed by the brave
Conceived with the blood of the innocent
With the shackles of freedom, we are made a slave
To build this “Great” country with no consent
Run by the rich and inhabited by the poor
At one point a destination of fate
Now slowly but surely they begin to close the door
And inside a cancer is growing, an outbreak of hate
Black lives, Blue lives, White lives, they all matter
Liberty and Justice for all, we pledge
But the veil of ignorance is beginning to shatter
So be weary of your step, for we are close to the edge
If we wish to stay “Great”, indivisible we must be
For it will take more than: them, you, or I, but instead we
In order to have FREEDOM
truly stay FREE.
