One step ahead

Remember the time when my common sense sobered up

My will power screamed out enough is enough

Fight, or flight morphed from come drink with me

Ended up the joke’s on them, and not me

Abnormally interested in haphazard hobbies

With the destination set opposite from past follies

Never want to repeat a dry-mouth, blurred morning

My daily goal now, make life 1% less boring

Lessons are used to assist understanding

If you don’t walk that line straight, then in jail you’ll soon be

Relieve your future and just use your head
