Chapter 2: Rusty self
Terrex stared at his deck of cards, a wave of nostalgia washing over him. He thumbed through the familiar cards, their edges worn from countless duels. Even his three powerful Egyptian God Cards felt like relics of a bygone era. “This is 2024,” he muttered to himself. “I must get back into the sport I love, but I'm behind on cards. There must be new, more powerful ones.”
Determined, Terrex fired up his computer and began searching online for the latest decks and powerful cards. He needed an edge, something that could stand up to the dark magic and underhanded tactics of Onyx Redfield.
“Well, Yami and Yugi are gone,” he mused aloud, a pang of sadness in his voice. “Joey and Mai are still alive, but Kaiba has passed away. I don’t know about the others—I haven’t seen them in years.”
He sighed, the weight of time and change heavy on his shoulders. “This isn’t the same tournament Yami and Joey played in. This is different. There are new opponents, new strategies. I must adapt.”
As he scrolled through forums and online shops, his determination grew. He would find the cards he needed, build a deck that could compete in this new era of dueling. Terrex felt the spark of his old passion reignite, fueling his desire to reclaim his place in the world of Yugi OH.
“This isn’t over, Onyx,” he said, a steely resolve in his voice. “You might have the upper hand now, but I’m coming back. And this time, I’m going to play by the rules and show everyone what true dueling is all about.”
With a renewed sense of purpose, Terrex dove into the world of Yugi OH once more, ready to face new challenges and old demons. The road ahead was uncertain, but one thing was clear: the spirit of the game still burned brightly within him.
