When Times Up
I remember not saying bye. I couldn’t bear looking in your eyes. It would’ve been like taking your sunshine. That kind of heart ache is enough to make anyone cry. I didn’t want to lie. Although we did try.
Now our lives have grown apart. Why couldn’t we catch it was over from the start? We were to caught up in the spark. But we couldn’t hold each other’s hands in the dark.
Our minds were tortured to a degree. The trauma was too deep. Those scars we will always see. Have you moved past thee? Those initials in the street washed away times three.
Sure,
we may have crossed each others minds here and there.
But,
our clock ran with our emotions to spare.
