Dark Queen

She is a ruler of the dark

she rules it all through the night

the forest begs her to stay

but she must go before mornings light

she rules the dark

in a blood red dress

black hair flowing behind her

in the night she gets no rest

the trees lift her

up into the dark sky

so she may watch

over the world through the night
