Underneath Our Skin
Underneath our skin
We are all the same
We bleed, we laugh, we cry
Regardless of fortune and fame
Be it that skin in a pallet of hues
Whether its broken or bruised
Underneath our skin
We are the same
Still feel the pain of words
Thrown from uncaring lips;
In a world of "they", "them". "buts" and "what ifs"
Underneath our skin
We are all the same
So stop picking sides
Whose better or not
That a stranger's life still matter
Whether you care a little or a lot.
