Thoughts of a Boogeyman
My child please, must we hide our head. You do know I am not dense and I see you there, clenching the blanket above. If it is security you want you will have none, except for the terribly delicious truth that I, your nightmare, am waiting. Please, lovely child come forth from that false sense of safety. I only seek to keep you on your toes, make you aware of the darkness in this world. The fear is filling the room you need not hide from it, after all it is your fear. Oh please young one, do not let that be the breaths of sleep. The night is young and so are you, why not play together a bit longer. Hmmm it seems you have evaded the night this time dear one, but my promise to you will be my presence the next night and many more.
