Questions for Aristophanes

If men fall from the sun

And women rise from earth

And collided, they become

The moon --

Then what happens if

We go our separate ways

Blinded by fear and

The heartbreak of love

Wandering endlessly

Half-human in our build

Will we burn

Under the eyes of

A condescending sun

Or will the earth

Go barren, like a desert

On fire roaming

In the Valley of Death

Will our future evaporate

Like ashes in dry wind ...

And can I inhale your ghost

Before you are carried away 

Absorbing you into my flesh

As we resign to --

Extinction together.
