Challenge
What is the single greatest compliment a writer can receive?
Fourth Wall
Words on a page
spun from the gossamer
imagination of sleepless
nights and days spent
whittling away at the
colorful quarries of
imagination.
Hours s(p)ent venturing
forth through the fray
of half-formed worlds
conceived of unbroken
ideas.
And after the laboring
you hold out the pages
with fingers trembling
and wait to see if
what you've written
draws them from
the living room
and into your
word-made dimension.
The greatest compliment
is when you must
call their name again
and again just to
bring
them
back.
