Why are we living this way?

Working two or three jobs just to make the ends meet,

while the fruits of your labor feed someone else's greed.

When Monsanto tells us we can't save our seeds,

It's more than haves and have nots it's basic human needs.

We trade meaningless paper for our meaningful time;

we've forgotten the skills we once honed to survive.

There's no American Dream it's all American Lies--

This is hardly living, it's just being alive

I want to climb to the top of the tallest building & scream from the top of my lungs:

"Why are we living this way...why are we living this way?"

Is anybody happy, is anybody whole,

does anybody's paycheck fill the void in their soul?

Then tell me why...
