A late night visit
It was just another night watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, popcorn in my lap when suddenly there was a bright, red light, startling me off the couch with a cry. My popcorn flying everywhere.
I caught my breath, looking. I rolled my eyes. "You again." He just smiled his charming smile. Dark hair slicked and his black suit and red tie styled to perfection. "That's the hello I get?" I stood up, smoothing out my nightgown. My dark curls going into my face as I smoothed my hair as well. "It'd be more welcome had you knocked on the door like a regular person not just popping up in my house suddenly."
He just turned looking at the TV while I started cleaning up the popcorn. "Oh Buffy. Did you get to-" I turned it off quickly, glaring at him. "Spoil anything and you get no help." He smirked. "And why do you think I need help?" I just gave him a blank stare. He cleared his throat. "Yes. Well. I won't be long. I've come for some advice." "Your Satan. The devil. Beelzebub and your coming to a human for advice." "Well I can't go to my fellow immortals, they'd laugh at me." I sighed, crossing my arms. "What is it?"
He seemed to shrink when he spoke. "I think I've fallen in love." He paused. "With an angel." I sat on the couch. This was heavy. "Isn't that, like...forbidden?" "Oh very." I shook my head with a small chuckle. "Well you got yourself fucked." He rolled his eyes, sitting on the couch with me. "Thank you for starting the obvious." "So how'd you meet?" "He's a-" "Wait! A he?" He just nodded. "Yes. If your done being shocked that an immortal being has more then one sexual preference may I continue?" I rolled my eyes. "So much sass. Yes. Continue."
"As I was saying. He's one of the Angels that brings the judged to damnation. We meet each other rather regularly. After he's done We'l have lunch and chat even though he's really not allowed to stay longer than necessary. He does so anyway." I smiled. "Sounds like he likes you to. What's his name?" "Samael."
I sighed. "I don't know what you want me to tell you. I'm just a human. I've never had to deal with immortality and being forbidden and this is all really heavy." "I know. I just needed someone to talk to. Like I said, the others would laugh and judge and I can't have Samael getting word of this. Not right now. Maybe not ever." I let out a breath, running my hands though my hair. "You know I'm always here to talk but next time knock on the fucking door. Now help me clean up this popcorn and tell me more about your Sam."
