As One

Almost unnoticeable

Like winds that cause a sailboat’s shift

It started with a crack

That soon grew into a rift

Two people, so in sync before

Couldn’t stand together anymore

As the ground fell from beneath their feet

They realized this was an obstacle 

They couldn’t beat

Once upon them

This realization dawned

The storm hit

And it broke their bond

The whirlwind intensified

Until for these two there was nothing left

So they went their separate ways

Without seeing how this was a cruel theft

Yet their three daughters

Now caught in two storms

Had to fight their way through

And learn to transform

They were lost and scared

Until they tried

To hold to each other

And make it to the other side

Out of the storm and into the sun

They saw that they were stronger and better

Three sisters, as one
