To the seismic shakes

Of a quake.

Architects and artisans—warriors of the palace’s prestige,

Diligent design, annihilating any adversary’s siege.

Dexterously dangerous,

Intricately perilous.

Curators convene to quarantine

the palace’s prudence—

It’s counterintuitive,

Eastern Existence—

From the corrosive parasite

Of meddlesome, gawking urbanites.

A contortioned, hallowed hollow—Outlining

I uncoil my charger to replenish the

Juices,

Only to be taunted by a phantom outlet.

I pursue the elusive pendulum of an

Epiphany,

The defaced sockets—

Inhospitable Spirits,

Are omens that irk and expel

Nook-nestling-nerds.
