There are no winners...
First the ships, then the planes, to give the infantry an even greater edge. The casualties begin straight away like a pumpkin under a sledge. We hear numbers of "ours" killed, and we weep, wail, shake our heads. And the innocent are slaughtered to the tune of one million...dead! Someone right the warmongers to shame: "We all bleed the same!"
Fear of death
The checklist of fear and anxiety is complete. Some time ago I held the belief that these are the enemies to defeat. Revelations in the biblical sense is no new revelation. Just have to ask, am I so confined to singular salvation? Not to run from reality in hopes of being wild and free. To see an inner clear perception and blast through what I believe is "me". Daily, yes, daily to forget me for thee, there is agreement universally... A simple equation that has yet to penetrate significantly this ego armor. Adopted "spiritual" theories seem largely just that, as I pretend to know not what to pray for. If vague is best, Precise is better. This is the dance of my lazy ignorance, bordering on stupidity,
challenged constantly by innate wisdom.
Constitutionally
Where did he come from? The authority that hands out justice like bird food for the pigeons. Self exalted bench warmers called counsel debate the facts sometimes. All too often fiction that is designed in some cases to incriminate the innocent. Shrugged off as collateral damage, prisons burst at the seems with the over sentenced. Begging for for profit incarceration, society largely turns a blind eye as children are taken away to languish in confinement. It is criminal, indeed, the ones who say that they are the right side of the law.
I Admit
Vitriolic thought patterns cloud my heart Preventing the sun from blazing in triumphant command Forgetting that I am responsible I muddle through another storm Lightning and wind swoop down to jolt me awake Meanwhile my head in the proverbial sand Hiding from love that is merely obstructed When I finally decide to release the manacles Let me remember how to truly laugh and sing
The cathedral
The wind howls and the white surf crashes The orchestra of cicadas and nightingale plays on Somewhere a fox darts through the sea grape The black racers have taken cover for the night Sea turtle mother laboriously makes her way to new nesting ground The natural world cradles its inhabitants A man feels nurtured and bows toward the crescent moon
