One Word.
Write one word that describes the pain of so many words flowing through me.
Pick one verb to confine the motion of infinity.
Do you have the nerve to refer to
One adverb
that curbs your urge splurge?
Feeling lazy? pick one word to describe the feeling.
One word to block the bleeding.
Creating friction from an absence of diction.
One word.
A trite prescription.
A world of words built on
A literary chorus, now
Dancing with the devil,
Disguised as a thesaurus.
A tyrannosaurus, tyrannically
Scratching the itch to share,
Only one word to show how much I care.
One word to describe the moment that left me speechless.
One word to purge the demons.
Plenty of reasons
to write more,
but this one word will up my score.
All these other words I've got to ignore.
The drive to participate, precipitating like the glitter that Twitter sprinkles down from the attention deficit cloud.
One word. Insane. Mundane.
Too late. That's two. Too plain.
Raw expression, repressed by the express lane.
Waking Life
Waking life drawn from the new dawn.
With each yawn the whole world spawns,
Sketching new creation from morning elation,
Breathing yesterday's memories into today's choices
I choose to be still amongst the voices.
Plotting paths across forgotten maps,
The brain lapses, as the heart runs laps,
Circling linguistic traps in trip wire,
I admire,
My desire to transcend desire,
Something so paradoxical,
To the paradise I find,
Tropical, Its toxic that,
Our philosophy is so topical,
A dream cream rubbed on rug burns,
Warping sharp edges into smooth turns,
Releasing ashes stored in
Egyptian urns,
The soul turns,
The Pharaoh awakens, earth shaking,
A maker in the making,
Vibration quaking through the throat,
Instantaneous, something like Quaker oats,
The fifth chakra rockin the crisp opera,
Momentary bliss found,
In a frigid sauna.
