One
My name is Alice Schminkey, aged 20. I feel as though that should be stated first, in case I die while writing this. I have yet to find any others. It is just me, and my German Sheppard Lily. Whoever finds this, just know that no where is safe. The dead are everywhere and the number is growing. I am not a reliable source, seeing as I do not know how this began. But I believe it was something in the rain. The first victims appeared after the hurricane in Florida, and the plague spread from there.
I was able to steal a car while in Orlando, and am driving to northern states, maybe even hop the border into Canada.
It is currently still in Florida. The zombies are being quarantined, but some have escaped. And the plague spreads.

Surprisingly, I have survived and I am at a motel in Tennessee. The car is a 2003 Honda Pilot.
My supplies are as follows:
23 breakfast bars
30 water bottles
3 water jugs
1 bag of apples
6 bags of beef jerky
2 bags of dog food
2 bowls
1 pocket knife
3 kitchen knives.
I need to continue to stock up on food. I plan on entering Canada through Wisconsin, and cannot drive all that way alone. I plan on driving the whole way taking as little stops as possible. That might mean taking on a companion. The plague has spread through Florida into Georgia and Alabama. I'm getting terrified. More when I am safe.
Three
Lily has taken a liking to the road life.
She also follows me wherever I go, and has no need for a leash. She loves riding in the car, and enjoys my singing voice.
The plague has spread into the Carolinas.
Supplies are as follows

We need to keep moving.
Four.
We have encountered our first zombie. And I killed it with a kitchen knife. It snuck up on me when I was in the bathroom at a rest stop, Lily was keeping watch by the door. She started barking like crazy. And I was almost bitten. It was a woman. A Target employee uniform on, the scratched up name tag said "Crissy". At the end of it, her black blood was dripping from my blade. I cleaned it with paper towels, and rushed Lily back to the car.
She will most likely not be my first kill. I enjoyed it.

I am doing a supply run tomorrow. I am getting anxious.
Five.
I have a companion. Her name is Clover. She is about eight years old, an orphan. She won't talk about her parents, and she won't talk to me. I found her curled up in a corner behind a gas station in Missouri. She was covered in rags, her skin so dirty I didn't even think she was a person. I got her to a motel, and she was able to get clean and find clothes that fit. She has beautiful dark brown skin, thick ringlets and the greenest eyes I have ever seen. Her waist size terrifies me though. She looks as though she has not eaten in weeks. I have adopted her as my own. Lily adores her, and refuses leave her side. I will teach her how to fight.
We have too much food to count. I am happy about it. Maybe she can eat enough to be healthy.
Six.
We have made it to Wisconsin. Clover loves the cold air, and sleeps in the back seat with Lily curled up beside her. She does not say much, but when she does speak she has a lot to say. She loves moths more than butterflies, but gives them credit for being so pretty and pollinating flowers.. Her favorite color is red. "Fire engine red. The color of help." she said it so seriously, a bright airy look in her eyes. She falls asleep clutching a gold locket she has never opened in front of me. She calls me Lisse. I want her to be safe. I want this to
Seven.
In the middle of my entry yesterday we were attacked.
Out from the forest a pack of three zombies approached the car. Clover screamed, and I slammed the gas, running over one. Lily laid her head on Clover's lap to soothe her, but she just kept screaming. She was so terrified. We are almost to Canada now. We just have to sneak across the border. We can make it. I know we can.
