It’s not fair!
When the 4-year-old says,
"That's not fair!"
Because she's not getting her way
And I'm looking for a new job
(Because it has been decreed,
all throughout the land,
that all must be in possession
of this wondrous thing
called Health Insurance,
never mind that it'll cost me more
to have than do without)
And there are plenty of kids
that don't have a fraction
of what she does
or even one person to care
And then she tries to insist
that "Life IS fair"
And I just sigh and think,
"Well, you're in for a rude awakening"
(It's also not fair what I did to and)
I am Bogan, hear me roar!
Up
Oh how I long to be up
Up where I can see
Up where I can explore
Up as high as I can get
And then I hear,
"Get down!"
Under
Under the bed
Under the couch
More places to explore
But not under the fridge,
It steals my toys
Food
Yummy, yummy food
Omm Nom Nom
But just a little,
Now I must explore
Lockup
In the slammer again
She always finds me
under the bed
I just wanted to be up
Besides, who was gone all day?
Not me
And now she thinks it's bedtime?
Crazy woman
I wonder where she goes.
Can I come out yet?
Sleep
Sleeping is nice
Sprawled out,
Curled up,
Like a loaf of bread
But not now,
Now is for exploring
Home
Hi! Hi! Hi!
I'm so glad you're home!
Pet me, pet me, pet me!
What's taking so long?
You know I'm here, right?
Ah, there are the snuggles
I love you, too
