Macey and Josh moved to a new town, to get a fresh start
Little did they know it would all fall apart
They purchased a house with a big back yard
Getting all settled in wasn't that hard
Not knowing anyone they spent thier extra time alone
Their journey ahead of them was somewhat unknown
One quiet night there was a knock at their door
A man stood there that they had never seen before
The man said never mind, he turned around to walk away
But Josh insisted that he stay
They talked for a while, like they had known the man before
Then the man got up to walk to the door
They realized the man was forgetting his backpack
They knew there was drugs in it, so they made sure to give it back
Later that night they were sitting at the table
Josh's parents were over, but he felt weird and unstable
Sitting at the table was an older man he did not know
He felt as if he was moving so slow
Everyone was talking but no one could hear him
Josh was trying to talk to them but his voice was so dim
The older man looked over to Josh, then to his family and said
unfortunately Josh doesn't know that hes dead
Earlier that day when Josh opened the door
The strange man shot him and Josh fell straight to the floor
Not Alone
I open my eyes
Everythings a blur
All this time I thought they were lies
My thoughts were amateur
I lay in bed
My body was frozen
As the horror raced through my head
Why was I chosen
My husband lay next to me
He was out cold
How could this be
What was about to unfold
I glanced at the doorway
He was so clear
As tall as the ceiling black eyes, slim, and grey
The tall man is here
I close my eyes in fear
I yell to my husband
My voice he could not hear
In a situation I could not comprehend
The top of the doorway
His head began to lower
No longer in this house could I stay
As everything started to move slower
In my mind there was no doubt
I tried to scream
I just wanted out
Then a woke from my dream
Last Cold Breath
Darkness getting close
My breath is growing shorter
Will I make it out
The trees touch the sky
Blocking light from passing through
I begin to shake
The ground I hit hard
As my legs begin to give
The snow is so cold
As I look ahead
Standing feet away from me
My screams are unheard
As I close my eyes
My soul is lifted from me
I take my last breath
