Our Little Secret
My darkest secret
My orb that glows inside
My crystal kryptonite
The chest without a key
The fire burning slow and fierce
The illumination of my core
Confession does no justice
My darkest secret spins my globe
Intertwines my elements
But alas my secret is no secret
My secret feeds my hunger
My secret feeds yours too
Our little secret is vital
Without it we are desolate
Like a sea without waves
Or an animal without legs
My secret greases our machine
You see my secret is no secret
My secret is the human condition
For the hunger of power is no secret
The Watering Hole
Here we are in solitude and unity
United in expression
Divided by distance
We can bleed, love, cry and boast by choice
All in the simplicity of prose
We are animals gathered
Under sun or shade, rain or snow
Mirroring the tremors that shake us
Reflecting the confines of which we live
Guiding ourselves in prose
May we drink when thirsty
Or eat when hungry
Or love when necessary
In a circle bound by emotion
Centered by the watering hole
