The Deadly Desire
One, two, three, four
My heart beats like a madman at the door
My legs struggle to keep a stand
My mind is noisy like an unrehearsed band
My palms become sweaty
My lips start to slur words that are petty
One, two, three
My body has planted a massive anxiety seed
My tangled hair creeps from behind my shoulder
My voice tries to grip on my throat to make it sound bolder
My eyes start to slowly drown in tears
My teeth grind firmly with my fears
One, two
I look up to see faceless figures in a crew
I am trying to figure out how to be set
But all I gain is a little bit more sweat
Ringing starts floating in the air
Muffled screams seem to greatly care
I don’t want to be around
And rather be deep underground
One
My mind swallows the sun
My mouth quivers slightly
My face never lights brightly
My heart stops beating
People start seating
It grows dark
I try not to bark
The cold is smothering
I find it loving
Say goodbye
Here’s to my last sigh
And desire
