This is something all of us experience the closer it gets to Christmas: The dreaded Christmas shopping spree. Especially when it comes to finding the PERFECT gift. Here's the prompt: Write a story where your character has to find the perfect gift for someone special (their SO, their Mom, their child, etc.), but the experience turns into something very unexpected that becomes much more important than finding the gift. An example logline: When an ex-cop tries to find his son a baseball glove on Christmas Eve, the department store is taken over by terrorists. There are NO RULES, except that a gift has to be involved, and the stakes have to be raised during the story. No one wants to read a story without conflict!
