All My Loving
I dreamt of things I could have done,
Slowly the dark meets light and
Here Comes The Sun.
I walk along the aisle of rose buds
With a smile plastered on my face; I thought
All You Need is Love.
Nothing but thoughts could be heard,
And suddenly across the sky flew a
Blackbird.
It flew swiftly by; sly and clever.
Soon enough it was hidden in the
Strawberry Fields Forever.
The boy who made my heart race, had no clue.
I stand beside him as we wait for the bus and whispered
Hey Jude.
Suddenly, away from me he leaps.
Confused and embarrassed I got on the bus,
While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Kaleidoscope Eyes
A little square tab placed on my tongue,
Like the wind my body sways left to right,
And now the fun has just begun.
My mind has flown out into the dark night
The vibrations flow underneath my warm skin,
Up my arms and down my spine; I quiver.
The music intensely makes the floor spin.
I'm drenched in sweat and my arms, they shimmer.
The strobe lights flash on distorted faces.
I move away in a rush of fear
I realized now that this is not my place,
And now my thoughts I can finally hear....
Oh my lost soul, it's time to go,
Next time I'll pass on acid and try blow.
Twelve shots of whiskey, I consumed.
Stumbled around through the room.
Out the door I found my car,
Driving in the dark, distracted by stars.
Eyes are heavy and half asleep
Wheels start swerving, my eyes can barely see.
A loud thump awakens me in the dark road.
In the rearview mirror a figure laid, although
I did not stop, I continued driving on.
I wondered to myself if that was wrong.
Found my way home safe and sound.
Didn't think again of the figure laying on the ground.
