Fork in Eye
Black dress draped upon your floor
Shoes lost a long time ago
Lipstick, smudged upon your neck
Surrounded in passion's kiss
You stumble, trying to undress
As I get drunk on your whiskey lips
Exploring gently with warm fingertips
Setting a fire, we won't forget
Collapsing onto your bed
Soon to be drenched in sweat
Body aching, please don't stop
Lose ourselves in each other's pace
Wrapped in your embrace
Until the sky is lit with the morning's rays
Then the spell of the night is broken
Hangover headache mixed with regret
As you and I realize what we did
i can’t see who i used to be
i built a grave
out of bedsheets
and buried you between-
tucking you in tight enough
to suffocate your childish giggles
desperately,
i placed your purple bike
in the basement
so like me,
it could collect dust
in solitude
i carried your old hobbies
to the fireplace
and watched them burn-
and i didn't speak
to your parents
about what i'd done
-time changes a person-
there is still a part of you
in my soul
but i know what is dead
cannot be revived
now i can't find the pieces of you
that i need
i do not feel alive
Vegas
tore back
3:37 p.m.
24 hours of a
drunken dream
no shore
no horizon
but in full color
money
whores of every kind
instincts ignored yet tested
booze, food, booze, food
nap, booze, food, walking
carpets lit by losers in lights
struck by the visuals
the bare thought of
what if
-the dream that has kept
this town alive
I watch the asses in tight
skirts whisk past me
arms locked in the elbows
of cheesy men
hair product
biceps
shiny pants
the people flow through
the floors with such energy
past the old,
beaten down to
coins and leather
faces
feeding the machines
I walk the carpet drunk
biting down on
an overpriced cigar
and I have
to laugh
through the stupor
of us all.
When God is Silent We Dance With the Devil - Who is more then willing to take our hand
Shield your eyes from the summers light
Fall on bended knee
Call out
Between the tear stains and the lost breath
Asking for answers and guidance
Met with only silence
You turn your back
The devil smiles
And takes your hand
Promising to ease the pain
But in truth
He is torturing you
And sucking your life away
