THE HEARTS OF HUMANS
"Some men want to watch the world burn."
Humanity has now taken a turn.
Roses wilted;
So did Tulips and Fern
As did the hearts of humans,
Love didn't return.
Some say,"The culprit is terrorism!"
Others say,"No! It's rascism!"
I say it's the hearts of humans.
Once upon a time, the youth asked,"What is love?'
Now, they ask where is it.
A wise man answered,"It's God's gift. We aren't using it!"
Selfishness is the end of the world,
Kindness is killed.
Cruel are this world's inhabitants,
Use love. DON'T WASTE IT!
THE LAST LAUGH
You all petty humans
Live at my mercy.
You are nothing;
Let me take you on a journey.
Let me tell you;
Karma can't be cheated.
You make horrible mistakes,
I'll show you why you shouldn't repeat it.
You hurt others,
You think you'll be safe?
That's truly hilarious,
Let me put you in your place.
You really believe that you will have the last laugh?
Oh honey,
That's me, Karma.
Take my damn autograph.
UNWORTHY OR WORSE?
"The world is ending,
So cruel is each inhabitant.
The message my heart is sending,
Everyone calls it redundant.
"This life is mercy;
Look at who got it worse.
I feel I am unworthy,
I feel I am a curse.
"You don't understand me,
You sit there for the money.
But I don't care now;
All I want to do is get this out.
"Look around you.
How can one still smile?
In all this world's disarray;
I am the only one ready to walk the extra mile.
"Yet they call me selfish,
Sometimes they call me worse!"
"And I'm the only one to help you dear.
Tell me;
Why do they call you a curse?"
The Day All Birds Took Flight
I dreamed last night,
I dreamed alright.
I saw the day all birds took flight.
The heavens looked black,
The hatered was back.
A sneer on a face,
Girls did not play with ribbons and lace.
Imagination dropped dead,
Apprehension in hearts and heads.
But the dear birds,
Oh! The peaceful loving birds,
They failed to take the hate that night.
That day, all birds took flight.
Stand a Little Taller
Stand a little taller they say,
And so I did.
I saw the world as a better place,
I saw the world in a different phase.
I saw the world meet the sky-
The beauty made me want to sigh.
I saw the Earth at the horizon curve round,
I saw the beauty that some never found.
They never said stand a little lower
To observe the problems closer.
They wanted supremacy by suppressing;
They expected honour by oppressing.
I saw the problems reach the sky,
The difficulties made me want to cry.
Stand a little taller they say,
The weak want to ignore the disarray.
The Unseen
I have been reading braille since I was eleven. Being blind since birth is alright. You do not know how the world looked. You never saw how blue the sky was or how your mother smiled at your achievements, how beautiful the flowers looked in spring or how a person in love with you looks at you.
A person blind from birth does know these. Thus he is saved.
Alas, that was not my case. My eyesight was taken away from me. My eyesight became weaker and weaker until the day I woke up to find the world to be absolutely black.
Now I am seventy four, living in a house all alone.
Darkness. Everywhere.
Some people are destined to be born alone and die alone. In this unforgiving darkness, I had no true companion other than my thoughts.
I laid on my bed, not a sound, not a word, not a single colour to brighten my day. My eyes were open but I saw no colour. Just another morning of loneliness. Just another monotonous day. Unless...
Unless today was the day Death saved me from my excruciating pain of life.
‘Please let that day be today.’ I whispered to myself breaking the silence.
‘I want to see the light. I want to see the light of life and death. I want to see...’
And my wish was fulfilled.
