Now I See
Jacob was a serious man. His job wasn’t to be taken lightly. This is what Heather thought. She loved Jacob. The only problem is he was a murderer. She didn’t know this until she married him. She cried each night knowing what he did. She kept on asking Jacob why. His response was singing Amazing Grace. Every month they would leave whatever motel they were staying at. She kept her family up to date with her health and how Jacob was doing with his business. They didn’t know he was a murderer. Heather couldn’t take it. She went to the police and told what Jacob did. Heather was put in prison for the crimes her husband did. FBI agents came to talk to Heather a couple of days after she was put there. They didn’t find her husband at the motel they were staying at. Heather had no clue where Jacob had gone. No bodies went missing after she turned him in. She got a letter from Jacob. The FBI saw and it was just the lyrics of Amazing Grace. He highlighted the words now I see. Heather knew Jacob had stopped murdering people. The FBI felt that Heather knew where Jacob was. They took Heather out of prison and to the last motel Jacob had stayed at. The words “now I see” where spray painted above the bed. Heather knew the FBI was using her as bait to get to Jacob. Heather only wanted to feel relief. Instead the weight of her past is still on her.
