Grandma is bound to her hospice bed, a shadow of her former self. Her once vibrant features are now dull. Her short, blonde hair is flat. Her blue eyes are lost, searching. Her skin is pale, her body too skinny. She can’t walk, eat, or bathe by herself. But she can remember. Sometimes.
