The Child’s Bleeding Heart
When I was young, I had a big heart,
With plenty of love ready to be ripped apart.
I'd show it off to all I would see,
But they wouldn't return any to me
For I had a problem, in their eyes.
A problem with sharing my love with their lies.
~
Don't drown yourself in love,
My friend,
When no one's there to drink.
You put yourself there,
Please know your heart is not a sink.
And if you think that you can swim
I'd rather well would like,
To see you wade yourself away
And swim on out of sight.
The Truth of Reality
Reality cannot be perfect, reality is shattered.
It is a fractured truth that rips into your expectations,
tearing you apart along with them.
Leaving only bare and unguarded emotions behind.
Sometimes you can escape for short,
into a place of your choice.
Where the real world doesn't have a voice.
A place where you can be free from bonds.
Behind the broken pieces of reality hides our desires
If you wonder in too far you will be lost to the liars.
The liars, the lies, of what you think you must have to be happy.
Temptation crawls inside, it is the cause of dangers.
If you fall victim to them, soon enough you will become a stranger.
Tests and choices force you to realize,
that trying to escape reality seldom succeeds.
I warn you, don't try, all you will do is bleed.
Watch out for the darkness that nips at your heel,
sometimes you will forget and steal.
Steal from yourself and steal from others,
the rationality of what's right and wrong between friends or lovers.
Be wary when wondering the unreal,
because eventually you'll have to return-
To suffer the consequences of your shattered reality.
