Subconscious Queen
Another day of uninspired devotion,
Five days a week devoid of real emotion,
Deep inside I wonder is there something
To let a puppet be cut from its string?
Now the two-day illusion is over,
Disappointment lies outside of the covers,
The morning light is like insulting laughter,
Is this the real forever after?
Nobody knows
Universe of Planets
I already know the space around me,
No matter how I try to change it, it stays the same.
I've already read the book on how life should be
And if I'm being honest, it's such a shame.
A universe of planets sing, and they want us to be free,
They want us to believe.
All of the space outside us breathes, and it shows us what we need,
It tells us there's more than what we see.
Some days I see the world on a different plane,
Like everything around us has to mean something.
But sometimes it feels like it's nothing but a game
That we've already lost, and we're crumbling.
A universe of planets sing, and they want us to be free,
They want us to believe.
All of the space outside us breathes, and it shows us what we need,
It tells us there's more than what we see.
Expect the Worst
I'm expecting the worst.
My head and shoulders submersed in lies that I had been told to look out for,
But it isn't easy when everything's painted and masked.
I didn't expect to care,
I wanted to keep to myself.
I'm running full speed to nowhere,
And fading faster than I can bear.
I'm expecting the worst,
And no one can tell me that I'm wrong
Because everytime I've been hopeful, I've been disappointed.
So this time I'll be prepared.
I didn't expect to care,
I wanted to keep to myself.
I'm running full speed to nowhere,
And fading faster than I can bear.
