That santa Monica dream

Sitting under the tree

Times when the hardships

Were lesser,

The life was free.

And I clicked pictures of you

Even when you did hide

Your face with your two hands

Giggling from behind,

Oh how I lost you today?

The butterfly flew

Like a raging storm

Giving me the power

To turn this time back

And I looked at my palm

Wondering how I saved your life

I was terrified and yet

I was ready to fight

To save your life.. Again

And I clicked pictures of you

Even when you did hide

Your face with your two hands

Giggling from behind

Oh how I lost you today?

We have been friends

For so long

Have spent noons

In your backyard

Playing treasure hunt

You loved to hide in spaces

You loved to discover new places

So you vanished like fog

Colored your hair blue

Did I tell you?

You looked like an ice fairy

I lost you over and over

And I found you back

Thought we could stay

Here for life

Searching new places to hide

And I clicked pictures of you

I was happy to have

This power to go back in time

I swear I lived a million lives

In a week

I did it all just for you

So that I could see you alive

But fate takes what’s not ours

You left a long while ago

That day

And I kept living

With your mirage

It’s the end

I say

Standing near your coffin

In a little black dress

And I used to click pictures

Of you

Even when you did hide your face
