Nēøn Paradise
Take me to the neon paradise,
where our souls our sold and the moon hangs bright.
Take me to the neon paradise,
where the lights reflect in our eyes and no longer our souls cry.
Take me to the neon paradise,
make love to me in the electric lights.
Take me to the neon paradise,
make my body weak and sorrow free.
Take me to the neon paradise,
take me by the mouth & light up the night.
Take me to the neon paradise,
take me all the way, into the sinful light.
Take me to the neon paradise,
set free all that's killing me.
Take me to the neon paradise,
electrify my sold out soul.
Take me to the neon paradise,
show me the lights, rid me of my doubt.
Take me to the neon paradise,
love me till the lights burn out.
Her.
She has a beauty she'll never see,
But everyone around sees its clearly noticeable to me.
Hazel eyes that could pierce a soul,
If I lost her, my heart would be less than half of a whole.
She has a kiss like no other, but that's not what I like,
It's the little things, like how her hair falls in front of her eyes, and how her face looks in the moon light.
She looks in there mirror and in return doesn't eat,
If she only knew how perfect she already was though, from her head to her feet.
Her minds a never ending library, full of book references and quotes,
She's a scattered, wild, beautiful mess, which I'm trying to let her know in this note.
But it's hard to let her know you see, and you may ask "Why?"
Because if you put all I have to say in books and stack them they'd go a hundred miles high.
She's special you see,
She shares some of the same things as me.
A body of scars, fresh, healing, and old,
And behind every scar, a story untold.
She's got demons in her head,
But I'll fight to save her from them until I'm dead.
Because she's worth it, and she's my closest friend,
To protect her I'd even risk facing a bitter end.
This is sloppily written and bad, but I hope you see,
Just how perfect her imperfections are, and how much she means to me.
Liberation
Nobody gives a fuck,
She's played all her cards
And now she's out of luck.
Oh no, she's going under and
I don't know if she'll make it out alive,
Will anyone save her?
Will someone take the dive?
They see the scars
But they don't care,
She's just another depressed teen
Wandering to nowhere.
Kicking empty cans at midnight
Down empty streets.
As her empty soul screams
And her empty heart barely beats.
She's tired of being the slut
They'll only fuck when
They're to drunk to know who it is.
To be the girl pushed to the ground
Watching laughing faces all around.
But no, not anymore,
She's tired of cutting herself
On the bathroom floor.
She's numb you see,
She cant feel a cure from the blade,
She's going to try a new cure
To fix the hell of a life that's been made.
Standing in the middle of the boulevard
She watches the can,
Knowing she's given it her final kick,
She's got a stomach full of pills
But no she's not sick.
She left her needles a few blocks back,
But she's not done getting shot up oh no.
Needle or not she has one more time to go.
She's got demons in her head
That she needs to liberate,
So she reaches into her coat
And pulls out her fate.
Presses it under her chin
And closes her eyes.
And with a single finger pull,
She blows her demons sky high.
Beauty Queen of Seventeen
She has a face straight out of Esquire magazine,
But I'm afraid, it's something she'll never see.
She has a beauty made for movie screens,
And a smile so perfect it can't be unseen.
She has a touch that's like one thousand lightning bolts,
And eyes that will melt your heart and soul.
Her kiss is like medicine to a dying heart,
Which will revive it & bring forth a brand new start.
She doesn't see it, but she's a beauty queen of seventeen,
But when she looks in a the mirror the beauty is unseen.
That's only because her eyes have made their own conclusion,
If she only saw the truth; she'd know it's all an illusion.
From sweatpants to a short dress, from high heals, to her hair in a mess,
She'll always look her best.
Because she'll always look like she's walked off the cover of a magazine,
Or as if she jumped out of a movie screen.
And she may feel like sometimes her life's in a rut,
But I will never give up.
Because I see everything about her that she doesn't see,
I see everything in this seventeen year old beauty queen.
