Vision

Wisdom is to take corrective action if we encounter un-answered questions in #philosophy,#culture, and most often your guideposts are your #education and #spirituality.

#science gives us answers to almost all questions of material world except solving the fundamental problems which have been kept aside by philosophers and epistomologists in their own ways either of ignorance or arrogance at pseudo awareness of having discovered a few new facts of nature or unfathomed a greater depth of some discipline of study which may give some clarity on some of the concepts but not complete picture of all the matter or mind.

Bertrand Russel rightly quipped beyond sarcasm a kind of uncertainity principle though he called himself an agnostic. What is matter?, never mind. What is mind?, doesn't matter.

Eastern mysticism in contrast to 16th century rationalism or scientific temper is in sharp contrast to the notion of what is truth and who am I, and western world safely parks these questions as a kind of meta physics. Emmanuel Kant asked, "I think, therefore, I am." This is also treated at length in Hegelian Philosophy.

Swami Vivekananda defined three realms of awareness of one self beyond self.

Man is a circle with center at one place ( individual conciousness) and circumference everywhere( from individual self to group to nation and can transcend to international or truly cosmopolitan realm). God is a circle with center everywhere and circumference nowhere.

Besides the fun associated with answers to the question, who am i in unix or computer operating system, much of the eastern philosophies emphasize knowing in-depth beyond a machine, the answers like from being a human to a soul or connect with super conciousness or paramatma or supreme conciousness

Even when one assumes the stance that spiritual world is not a socially relevant notion based on the fact there can be often conflicting paths of realizing the truth or reaching to salvation by meditation or other such means. The west mostly restricts the role of knowing who am I to a dozen ancestors in the family tree back or end up after Charles Darwin's theory or evolution to which even recently current Pope Francis has acknowledged as an acceptable theory including the cosmological importance of Big Bang Theory being a possible cause from God theory.

One should not get distracted by going either too deep into spiritual quest driven by belief systems alone or become too dogmatic with some of the preliminary results of physics or science from nearly 500 years of man's quest for truth using modern world view of rationalism or scientific approach past industrial revolutions.

Like how an agnotic looks at some of the questions or an atheist does not much bother, a kind of learned dis-passion towards the anchor points of what we think we knew this world can help us from getting entangled in the web of self created imaginations.

Vision therefore should be more broader view than one's limited definitions of either #rationalistic approach towards the world or #spiritualistic methods of seeking God in several ways which we call as different Religions that shook the world with as much chaos as that of all world wars combined in terms of loss of life and damage to wealth and retrograde effects on human advancement or progress.

Vision therefore much be driven by love of humanity and guided by knowledge and wisdom of collective conciousness of both east and west, spiritual and scientific realms in some kind of cross fertilization of new idea by using different hats as one of the management theories suggests
