Just Another Love Story
Tighten the noose around my throat
Pull the rope until it’s a part of me
Make a mark so deep that blood seeps out.
In red I write my promise to you
I love you more than life.
You think you love me too until
You keep pulling it tighter because I don’t complain.
Tear me apart and leave me to piece myself back up.
Rip out my lungs so you take my breath away;
Break my ribs, take my heart so it’s yours;
Press in my eyes because you’re the only one I see;
Cut off my tongue so you leave me speechless;
Sever my hands so you can hold them forever;
Peel off my lips so you’re my last kiss;
Hack off my legs so I don’t fall for anyone else;
Drain what’s left of my blood and drink it,
So I’m all yours.
Walk away because I didn’t do enough,
Because I should’ve given you more.
Take what’s left, just don’t walk away
I can’t stitch myself back up.
Take my ears, my nose, my scalp, my feet
Because I’m head over heels for you.
I’m yours I promise. You can make the rope tighter
Until my head goes rolling on the floor.
It won’t be enough then either.
But at least now, you have to hide the body.
Cold Arrest
Cold fever
Crippling through your bones
Alone on the border
With hands joined
Colder than ice.
Breaking point here
Points breaking inside
Nothing is filled throughout
Hollowed, empty
Younger than the dawn
Yet emptied of sun
Light of day arrested
Moon that light put out,
by the oblivion of twilight.
Pained years
Flow with a river
Reddened by the thick blood,
Dropping from the death of the next.
Forever young lies,
Withing the coffins of despair.
