"What are you making?"
"Salmon. It was on sale at Safeway. It was only six dollars. I usually don't trust fish that's discounted, but this looked good. And I love a good deal. Last time I made salmon I slightly overcooked it but I'll try not to this time. It's too tasty to ruin."
"Are you ok?"
Hesitation.
"Well, no. But I guess yes. Isn't that what I'm supposed to say?"
"Not necessarily. I heard you crying this morning."
"Oh, well, I'm alone, you know? It's easy for you because you can quarantine here with your boyfriend, but I have no one."
Silence.
"Would you like some salmon?"
