Blood orange and
sickened with beauty
walking down the mountain
sun-dripped and burning
life hot down the arms
colored in.
The sun kissed the sky goodnight
And pulled the blankets tight
In a colorful dance
That captivates at first glance
grapefruit
ripe and heavy
staining the sky
with an elixir that would
get all men drunk
off just one sip
Night folds up the day
Tucks its lifeblood away
Where once, a ball of fire
Soon comes my silvered desire...
Why is your side of the country completely breathtaking in contradiction to the dull gray of my east coast dusk?
The irresistible vision had been burned into my eyes,
But I didn't mind.
At least,
Not 'til I was blind.
Gods fighting;
Spilling blood
of gold,
orange,
pink,
and purple.
Covered by sparkling pavement until the next universal, godly war.
God is taking a nap,
descending into the lap
of this or any horizon,
disenlightened and suddenly
it is night time.
Mourn each day's sun
like a deceasing lover
After making eye love
to its effervescence
Make tomorrow
jealous as hell
The first time I witnessed sunset
Was New Years, next to you.
I wondered if you loved me.
You do.
