Avenger Endgame Review
By Samad Khan,
Film review of Avengers Endgame:
The most awaited movie in the Marvel series, was not up to expectations. I know many people might disagree as they are die hard fans of Marvel and would not want to accept this, but I must tell the truth. The plot of the movie was pretty lousy. The movie focuses on time travel. Movies which were made on time travel are ancient and there is not a single hit movie made after 2005/2006 which has time travel in it. These old school plots should not be used in Modern movies. After watching an avengers movie, the fans always leave satisfied and entertained. Though in this movie, they actually leave in sadness and disappointment as Black Widow and Iron Man die and Captain America becomes old. The ending was okay. After Hulk snapped his fingers, people were expecting something new in the ending but no. The most expensive Marvel movie ends with Iron Man snapping his fingers and killing Thanos. Snapping fingers! The great Thanos was defeated with just a snap. The strongest being died with just a snap! Everyone wanted Thor to kill Thanos at the end. None of us wanted Iron Man to snap his fingers and kill Thanos. No one even wanted any snapping. Instead if all the superheroes combined their powers and then killed Thanos, it would have been better but sadly, that did not happen. It pains me to say this but Avengers Endgame, is the least favourite Avengers movie. This movie was just a massive melo-drama involving depressed superheroes trying to make things right.
Acting: I think the actors did the best job in this movie. Robert Downie Jr. finally proved that he is not just a comedy and goofy actor, but also an emotional one. Chris Evans did the same acting as he has done in the past movies and portrayed the role of the same serious and sad warrior. Chris Hemsworth did the best job as he acted as a funny, “I don’t care” guy, a fat man as well as a determined and the strongest superhero. Brie Larson did not have a huge part but the Oscar winning actress portrayed her role well. Tom Holland was not serious as always and did an okay job.
Josh Brolin was fantastic and portrayed his role with perfection. Mark Ruffalo was also pretty good and was the reason why we chuckled every now and then in the movie.
Final Verdict: I think the movie could have been much better but won’t refuse that the actors were phenomenal.
Rating: 2.5 stars
