The Order of the Golden Pine Cone
The people of the city of Pine Shine
Hearken to the Golden Pine.
The challenge that the people have long known,
How to live well, though alone.
Fully half of the people there die young,
Fault of the Dark Piny Lung.
Never had a miracle been conceived
To aid lonesome folk bereaved.
A reassurance that they’re important
Would help them to bear the brunt,
As unencumbered they could then bear up.
Swallow their plight’s bitter cup.
The annual ritual to their surprise
Brought new breakthroughs to the fore.
Oh, The Order of the Golden Pine Cone
Cured Dark Lung. It'd outshone.
