I was the creep
Yesterday I read on Facebook that it was "Kiss a Ginger Day". As I love ginger everything, I kissed my sister and felt that I had somehow missed the full impact of such a wonderful internet holiday. Today, I was at the grocery store, organic section, when I spotted a family of beautiful gingers on a collision course with me. All internal systems yelled, "OOOOOO!!!! GINGERS!!!!"
So I smiled and said. "Apparently yesterday was Kiss a Ginger Day, and while I won't kiss you, I do appreciate the ginger-ness." The mom looked up from her three wild ginger kids and there was confused kindness in her eyes. "Well...thanks." she said as the children tried to leap over the edge of the cart.
She moved on. I stood there, looking at the farm fresh eggs, and my outfit-a giant puffy purple down jacket, crazy morning hair, a short yellow skirt and paisley knee high socks. The feeling was similar to talking while someone you like is trying to kiss you for the first time.
Well… Whoops
This is more of an embarrassing thing, rather than a creepy thing, but other than this my day has been pretty boring.
So today in the horrendous "Physical Education" class, we were playing this game that sounds like "Bookah Ball". It's a cross of volleyball and soccer and originated from like.. Some foreign country (I think Malaysia) but anyway, the net is about at my knee height, I tried to step over it, but my foot got stuck and then my other foot slipped out of my shoe and I fell. In front of everybody.
But luckily, only like three people noticed and so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. And then somebody else did it later so I felt better (I know, that's terrible)
And I have really really bad wrists and now my wrists hurt really bad. Good thing I don't have to write for Prose.!
Deja Vu
I had occasion to go downstairs early this morning, it was about 3.30, outside I could hear the wind and the rain battered the windows.
It was a typical scene from a haunted house movie, dim lit, cavernous shadows and creaky stairways. All it needed was a flash of lightening and it would have been perfect.
I reach the bottom of the stairs and ahead of me in silhouette against the window is a man.
I damn near died,
I blink and he's gone, it's our Cathedral Vase on a dresser. But in that light and from the angle I was at it was déjà Vu Freddie Krueger
