There is a short list of life-altering experiences that I discovered too late. One is Burning Man. The other, ayahuasca. If I had learned about ayahuasca when I was 21 I would've dived in like a hooker reaching for a rolled twenty. As it was, I learned about the magical rain forest truth plant at 30. By that point, I'd been around the world, through panic attacks and knee deep in journals from doing Morning Pages. The allure of projectile vomiting my way to personal revelation no longer seemed necessary. A little sad, a little relieving. All hail organic truth.
