The Big Shaqtus
During Shaq’s basketball career he has probably heard a lot of bad things about him and some good things about him. When he got drafted in the 1991-1992 NBA draft to the Orlando Magic, people were raving about the gigantic center they had acquired. He sure lived up to what they had expected from a big man like him. Four years later there was a ceremony celebrating and honoring the 50 greatest players in NBA history. Shaquille O’Neal was one of those 50 to be honored. Even at an early start to his NBA career he was honored among the greatest. People were skeptical about the 24 year old and his talent of basketball even though he was an already dominant force in the league. People would call him over rated because of at such a young age he would be among the top 50 greatest players. People also saw his lack in his free throw ability missing most at the free throw line. When Shaq moved to LA and was signed to the Los Angeles Lakers his charisma grew and so did his fame. The fans of LA were excited to see what he could bring to the court and if Shaq could win a championship they always wanted. Shaq had his fame on the basketball court, film industry, and music industry. People would criticize and mock his acting and his babbling rap music. But his debut CD went platinum showing and shutting out the haters.
