The Day Concludes
Thanksgiving can be a time for your family and friends to get together and spend time for the holiday. This time can also be a time to give thanks for the things we have in our lives. Some kids see Thanksgiving as a remembrance of the Indians and Pilgrims. It is much more than that, we can give thanks to God and for all that we have. I am thankful for God, my family, and the experiences and challenges I’ve faced.
First off thanksgiving morning kicked off with the casual greetings of " Happy Thanksgiving" to each family member. Particularly I was excited this thanksgiving because my brother was coming down from being away home for college. Rinsed my face got ready into the outfit of thanksgiving (something nice) and headed off to church, which was humbling in itself. I came home and before I knew it, family members started pouring in and it was time to feast. Around the table we gathered, held hands and said one thing we are thankful for. Then of course, after it was time to eat. I grabbed every single dish tgere was to eat. From your traditional thanksgiving foods like, mash potatoes and gravy, turkey, prime rib, mac n cheese, stuffing, to my traditional Filipino foods, kare kare, lumpia, adobo, I was enjoyed stuffing my face.
