Dear Diary

Day 1

Dear Diary,

My name is Dave Smith a loyal knight to the king, and I will be writing accounts of my life. Here’s a part of our family’s history so my next ancestor who sees this will know what our family was like. Then he will past it down to the next, the next, and they will write accounts in their life as well.

My family, the Smith family came from a peasant-based family from the beginning. My great grandfather Alex Smith decided he didn’t want to live a life of peasantry and he would later devote his life to God. Our great grandfather led us to start a new beginning, a beginning of Knights. He devoted his life into the Frankish army, fought for God, and took a big part participating in the Crusades.

Day 2

Dear Diary,

My family settled here in the southwest part of the Frankish empire in a village called Rhine. When I was a kid my family and I spent time helping the village grow crops and grow as one.

My older brother Tom was the knight in our family.

Day 3

Dear Dairy,

My name is Dave Smith, a 30-year-old man serving the king. It’s been a great pleasure to be in the king’s presence for 6 years.

Day 8

Dear Diary,

Today I went back to visit my family back at my old village, coming from the kings castle. He said I would take a break for a few days since I have worked very hard and been in great loyalty in all his conquest.

Day 4

Dear Diary,

I am most loyal to the king serving him and devoting my life. He tells me he is very prestigious of me being in his army. The king must be pleased in what I am doing for him.

Day 9

Dear Diary,

Today a messenger has came to our village. The king demands that all knights’ return to the castle for an announcement he’ll give the next morning.

Day 10

Dear Diary,

Today the king has told his army we will be going on a conquest to gain more land for our empire, which means conquering villages. For I do not know if I will be coming back alive after this trip, it is up to my next ancestor to keep writing the experiences and history of our family. May God be on our side…

Day 11

Dear Diary,

This might be the last time I will ever write in this diary, for only God knows what I will be done of me after this conquest. Will I survive or die?
